Denver, Colorado

Being slightly over-cautious, Sam and I drove up to Boulder to meet Les and Drew two days too early. We headed north of Boulder on the night of our arrival and camped illegally in Rocky Mountain National Park. We had little to fear, this was afterall during that nasty government furlough so there might have been about three rangers for the entire Rhode Island sized park. This is where we forgot to take a 24-hour photograph, so what you see in the shot is us in another Motel 6 in Denver the night after the park. We had spent the day wandering through a blissful spring Boulder afternoon. We wore T-shirts, played chess with bizarre people, and had some pretty good Mexican food. We heard that a snowstorm was coming so we decided to head down to the more inexpensive Denver to find a place to crash for the night.
