The Grand Canyon
By the time we stopped in and saw the Great Salt lake, we sort of figured a lot of this trip was going to end up being about random pictures next to monuments. On the way south to Arizona we stopped in to try and catch the COG railroad up to Pike's Peak, but it was too early in the season and neither of us felt like abusing the already weathered Bob on the long corkscrew of road it would have taken to get to the 14 thousand foot summit. We dropped in at one of those tourist oriented photography shops that takes the hazy grey and yellow pictures meant to vintage. Unfortunately I don't have the picture. This poloroid was taken shortly after dawn, having twisted and curved our way through the desert at night we came upon the canyon in the morning.
