Alas, the loss of the garden

                                    I

                           Misty was the night

when your silhouette came into sight.

                      Flowing was your silky hair,

                      naively your breast was bare.

Deeply I stared into your eyes

                  seeing questions, replying with lies.

Innocently you gave me a smile,

with you on my lap, we talked awhile.

Shadows falling from the tree above

made me wonder if this was love.

Your plea was a hunger for knowledge.

"Soon I'll teach you all," was my pledge,

"so understand there is a price to pay

and your needs can be filled in only one way.

Your desire must be very deep

it becomes a secret you must always keep.

Once this promise has been made

your life to me is what you've paid."

You answered disturbed, "let's meet tomorrow night,"

and with that you flew out of sight.

                                   II

Softly came the new morning air

awakening your gentle face, without a care.

And you danced through the day,

you and Adam had so much to say.

If only you knew of the other side,

so far I've failed to open your eyes.

So jealously I waited in the dark,

like a serpent on his mark.

                  Slithering silently awaiting his prey

and tonight, what would I say?

Like a dream you came to me,

your intimacy only for mine eyes to see.

You lured me closer, I wanted you for my own.

                  I endured a desire I've never known.

You were eager and begged for me,

and cryed, "Answer my questions, I want to see."

"Child, realize all that you'll lose,

come to me now if you choose."

                                    III

With the new fruit upon your lips

you slid over to touch our hips.

                           Hard you bit down.

                      No longer were you renowned.

I took you then with all desire

I promised I had never been a liar.

                      Bodies melting flesh to flesh

Entwined and mingled in a mesh

Burning sweat and scorched skin pressed

                     against me wildly without rest.

My world was a harsh reality

                       with you merely a casualty.

                      All innocence has been lost.

I reminded you it was the cost.

                                   IV

I laughed, "this lesson has been learned well."

Desire that takes us straight to Hell.

But with me you can never survive.

Alone you will be without compromise

                      listless and without a hope.

We've used each other. "Now learn to cope."

Inching closer you tried to hold on

but looking around, all that you knew has gone.

You deserve it for all the taunting,

and remember my love, in my mind

                    ...Your memory is always haunting.
