The Awakening
As far as the eye can see, I've looked.
Always searching for answers to questions yet to be asked.
I feel the icy breeze bite into my skin.
Fear grows within me.
I long for something, slightly out of reach.
Dare I take it?
I am frightened.
Above me is a sky of endless stars gleaming forever bright.
Below me is forever.
It's so far away.
Something new is growing.
Fear subsides, what is left?
Emptyness, or a new horizen?
The sun along the water has already set.
Yet my mind is full of light.
Blinding to all who see.
Images never known before are created.
I am alive.
