The Film Judges
Kaye Armstrong
In 1975, Kaye was awarded an Emmy for Sound for "Emergency Room".
She has worked on over 80 productions as a sound mixer, including the notable
"Joseph Campbell: The Power of the Myth" for Bill Moyers Journal and numerous
programs for The 51st State and Behind The Lines. Kaye is currently co-owner
of FTC/Orlando, a production company specializing in 16mm film and Steadicam
Operation.
Bruce Barker
Owner and President of Film & Tape Associates, Mr. Baker is an award winning
filmmaker with over 17 years of production experience in Orlando and Los Angeles.
Past credits include numerous national and local television programs,
documentaries, and special event telecasts. He has directed scores of regional
and local television commercials, as well as dozens of industrial projects for
clients all across America and Europe. His work as a producer, director,
cameraman, and editor has garnered him many state and local awards, including
Addys, Crystal Reel and Golden Image Awards.
Dorie Cohn
Founder and President of Frontier Productions, Inc. a production and post
facility in the Orlando area. Dorie's facility offers the Matrox Studio
linear and nonlinear editor for post production.
She attended the School of Visual Arts in New York and began her professional
career working for hospitals and medical centers producing patient and staff
video programs. In 1981, she won an Emmy for producing a documentary on the
history of Miami titled, "Miami... The Magic City." Her awards include a New
York Film Festival Bronze medal, a Gold award at the Houston Film Festival,
and several Addy awards for television commercials she produced.
Out of a growing demand for interactive media, Ms. Cohn has begun developing
projects that combine her production background with the multimedia format.
She is currently producing a children's interactive program for the preschool
age group.
Howard S. Genser
Three time Crystal Reel Award winner for Director of Photography, Howard has
produced and directed hundreds of live and video tape shows including talk,
entertainment, public affairs, news and sports. He has also worked for NBC as
film editor and unit manager for The Bob Hope Show, Kraft Theatre-"A Night to
Remember" and more. He currently enjoys working as Director of Photography.
Conny Glicken
With over twenty years of experience in the film and television industry,
Conny has worked on numerous productions for such companies as Disney, Kodak,
Hertz, Sea World, K-Mart, and US Air. Her experience in radio, video, and film
includes script supervisor/continuity, production coordinator, assistant
director, location scout, voice-over talent, casting assistant, associate
producer, and producer. She has also been the past president and vice president
of the Florida Motion Picture and Television Association here in Orlando,
Florida.
Kujaatele (Kooge) Kweli
Head of several companies in the entertainment industry including Rising Star
Studios & Entertainment Network, a motion picture, television and sound
recording production company and production facility. Kooge has produced over
600 media projects including 15 television series, award winning instructional,
corporate and production videos, TV Commercials, PSA's, documentaries,
newsbriefs, and satellite teleconferences. Today, Kooge is an active producer,
director, writer, educator and lecturer. He was born in New York, raised in
Harlem, studied communications at NYU, and worked in the New York and DC markets
before relocating five years ago to Orlando.
Dominic Palmieri
Dominic has worked on over 35 feature films, television series and commercials
as a Director of Photography or Camera Operator. Some of his credits include:
M*A*S*H, Target, My Girl, Blood Sweat and Tears, Dukes of Hazard, Mary Tyler
Moore Show, Diner, Starsky and Hutch, Columbo, Perry Mason, Swamp Thing, Ice
Station Zebra, and The Klansman. Currently, Dominic owns and operates
Cybervision Interactive.
