Motel 666
We enjoyed a 66 mile tow ride to the nearest town, Tucumcari New Mexico. Go ahead, find it on a map, I dare you. In Tucumcari we were slightly relieved to find yeat another Motel 6 and a mechanic that could get Bob running by the next morning. So we packed it in again after a rather short day, sacrificed a small furry animal (not roadbear) to the gods of AAA, and had some steaks on the last few dollars of our road money.
