Sam drove a hard stretch last night, leaving the last state or so up to me as we poured accross Alabama with the freezing rain. We didn't talk much as we closed in on home, didn't stop for Denny's or Waffle; we just wanted to get home. We talked later about doing it again, maybe the east coast, hell, maybe even a perimeter trip along Mexico, up the west coast, skirt Canada and head back down the East coast. It never happened, but have been other trips, yet none as strange and whirlwind as this one was.
